[many people in the dressing room are familiar with those large pods that can be found in the basement of a certain mansion in Twilight Town? they will no doubt recognize this pod as very similar, if not completely the same. it's sitting in a room that has appeared in the hallway a certain Replica acquired for the people he calls family, very close to Kai's room. the room is well lit but very bare, the walls a soft blue instead of white. in fact, the only thing other than the pod is the small rabbit curled up in front of it. Apricot doesn't seem like he wants to move, probably because Kai himself is in the pod, sleeping soundly.]



(ooc: Okay so... basically the muse is kind of dying from overuse, and I needed something other than killing him off or sending him home to get him... out of the way for a bit. Feel free to tag this, though the only tags from me you'll get are with the bunny. Also, go ahead and thread hop, as there are probably going to be a couple characters upset by this.)

[...ohgod what. went looking for him and was surprised to find him so close by, and to find this new room. focuses on the pod immediately, and hasn't seen one before, but knows enough about Soras and being stuck in pods for a year or whatever to figure it out pretty quickly. not that that keeps him padding quietly over and scooping Apricot up, burying his face against the bunny's fur and exhaling shakily.]

[bunny seems pretty upset and immediately burrows against Axel, shaking horribly.]

[Upset will be putting it lightly, in some cases. Finding the pod alone will be enough of a shock to leave Riku speechless, but realizing who's inside? After just recently seeing him, and coming over this way for the simple reason of talking to him... She, of all people, knows exactly how this whole thing works. Riku will wander inside, placing a hand flat against the pod once she's close enough, followed by her crossed arms to rest her head against. If she grits her teeth and curls her hands tight enough, she can keep it inside.]

[automatically reaches to scritch Apricot's ears, nuzzling against him.]

It'll be okay, buddy. At least he's safe in there, right?

[Apricot will just being staying close to Axel from now on.]

[left to get a strong cup of coffee, and returns with the mug in one hand and Apricot tucked into the crook of his arm. pauses in the doorway when he sees Riku, but then heads over to her, scuffing his feet a little so she's not startled.]

[yay kitty. at least we'll have lots of room to sprawl out in bed together, sob.]

[She tenses at the sound, and glances over her shoulder briefly before facing the pod again. She doesn't want Axel to see the red rims of her eyes.]

How long has he been like this?

[is looking a little red around the eyes himself, so it's okay. also looks pale and shaken, and is clutching the coffee mug like it might escape.]

Dunno, I just found him a few minutes ago myself.

[Oh, good. If it had been any longer than 'a few minutes' she might have lashed out on him. She's making a point not to look at him, unfortunately, and drops her arms from the pod to fist her hands in her hair.]

This is perfect.

[waffles for a second, then stoops to set his mug on the floor before moving closer and wrapping her up in a fierce hug, Apricot squished between them somewhere.]

[dawnrise]

[She stiffens up immediately, frozen in place -- her first instinct is to react by forcing her way out of that hug, but the situation being what it is, she doesn't move at all. She only digs her nails into her scalp, eyes squeezed shut.]

[knows he's risking his own safety by doing this, but gdit. ;; isn't letting go just yet, anyway.]

I'm sorry. At least he's safe in there, and we know where he is.

[Yeah, that didn't last long. She's trying to pull away from him now, looking angry.]

[okay, okay. lets go, stepping back and clutching Apricot to his chest again, eyes on the floor.]

[Her hands are curled into fists and she's shaking, but all she does is turn away from him, facing the pod again. That breaks the anger enough that she just looks... defeated.]

*Soras are attracted to little fuzzy things, but he's immediately distracted by that giant pod, suddenly shouting when he gets a splitting headache -- seeing those things makes his head not-right*

[well, little bunny can tell that something's not right, and manages to get out of its moping enough to scoot on over and sit on Sora's foot.]

*Sora squints down at Apricot, the pain easing enough so that he can bend down and scoop the fuzzball up*

*he's looking at the pod, his expression pained as his hand strokes over it*

Axel, where's Kai? I looked for him all over and I wanted to show him something.

[is just. sitting inside the door, back against the wall, Apricot in his arms. he's staring blankly at the pod, but jerks out of it a little when Ri shouts.]

[sighs and snuggles the bunny.]

No. But this place isn't fair, and like I said, at least he's safe and we can keep an eye on him.
