[Halloween gave Vexen a brief 'hope' (for lack of a better term) of returning to at least a bit of his original age (read as:height), maybe even his original sex. Unfortunately, it didn't last and Vexen found him(her)self back a square one.

Now Vexen hasn't exactly adapted to the fact little girl body can't handle the same sort of abuse with which his middle-aged man body was treated regularly. Despite minor improvements, it's been a long standing habit and he still forgets at times that no, he won't be 'fine' putting off sleep for a few days more hours and no, just because he was distracted with something important and forgot that last meal does not mean it can wait.

It's steadily becoming more obvious the small body isn't handling it.

At least today he remembered breakfast, however climbing down a small step ladder in front of the kitchen cupboard did not go entirely too well. A little dizziness at the wrong moment and a missed step and she's out like a light.]

What do you think I've been doing?
[LIES! Vexen does not adapt until absolutely necessary and when there's no way around it. For a while he's just been trying to make the body bend to his will, he may be starting to now but he's inconsistent and failing at it now too.]
