Talk to the animals~

[So maybe he doesn't have fancy powers or anything to clear away the snow, but someone's gotta think about the animals. Which is why he's found several heaters and extension cords, and has set them up in the chocobo stables. The area's now much warmer, due to the heaters being set to high.

He's also talking to the birds, despite not being able to understand them. His two cats are busy chasing each other around, and some of the chicks seem to have joined in as well. Nami's not sure where the food is kept, though. Feel free to help him out.]

Okay guys, let's hope this blizzard clears out soon. It's not good for you guys, I know.
I should find an animal translator or something, then when you guys talk back, I could at least understand you. I'm probably imagining things, but I could swear there's more of you than usual.

[there's several loud 'warks' at this.] Back at you. [more indignant warking at that.] Yeah well, I said I was probably imagining things! Don't fuss at me!

Arguing with the chocobos. And losing. I got worried about them, so I figured I'd check up on them.

Chocobos are tough. Besides, they can always bed down in the barn if they're too bothered.

I didn't think about that. Guess I jumped to conclusions. [carefully scoops up the chicks and places them by the nearest adult chocobo.] Where's the food for these fellows kept?

*traps through the snow; he happens to be bundled in multiple layers, making him sorta roly-poly*

Okay. [trails after him, but stops for a moment when one of the birds warks at him.] I hear you, we're taking care of that now!

*sees that and is amused, giving a sharp whistle, which seems to settle the chocobos down*

They know to wait.

I think they just like talking back to me or something. Though it's just sad to lose an argument with an animal that you can't understand.

They're like that. They're just used to me and know I bring food.

*enters the barn and heads to where the greens are kept*

Stubborn balls of fluff, but fun to talk to all the same. [picks up a handful of greens] Which one do I give these to? Or is there a certain order?

You can just fill the mangers with greens, or scatter them in the field. You don't feed the chocobos one at a time. Check the troughs and make sure they have fresh water. Oh, and make sure the chicks have their own greens and an adult doesn't try to steal them.
