[ Oh look, it's Larxene. He's not up to his usual mischief today! In fact, it looks like he's getting a taste of divine justice. He can be found in a room that looks perfectly innocent, empty but for two key things: one is Larxene himself, bound to the wall by long chains connected to his wrists and neck. The other is the very large bell hanging from the ceiling. It's sturdy, and appears to be made of iron. But none of this is really harmful, right? Just inconvenient? Larx doesn't think so. While he's sitting on the floor, expression bored and calmly focused on that bell, his breathing is shallow and labored. ]

[Akane's with a babysitter, but Tybalt's following along looking for things to pounce on.]

[oh that's a nasty look he's turning your way, Larx.]

[someone's in the doorway, looking vaguely curious.]

Oh, so the usual.

[she kind of wonders if the room poisoned him, too, from the look of him.]

[he doesn't look away from the bell, but he has noticed Kai there.]

[yeah, he's not looking too hot. but he's trying his damnedest to look casual.]

Unfortunately. Guess the place thought I was overdue for some annoyance.

Good. Maybe it'll leave me alone for a while.

[glances over at him, wiggling his fingers in a lazy wave. what, it's just chains.]

I don't know about that. It seems pretty fond of you.

[he's really in no position to be talking like that.]

[tilts his head a bit, then smiles.]

You're lucky I'm not the type to kick someone while they're down.

[steps into the room, casting a curious look at the bell.]

Is that your subtle way of saying I normally do?

[maybe acting like a smartass will distract Kai from that bell.]

You know perfectly well that that's just an expression.

[sorry, he's curious as to why there's a random bell in here.]

[same reason there's random chains in here? who knows! Larx is watching him warily, in any case.]

Maybe. So why bother me, in that case?

[how far up is that bell?]

[not very! he could even reach up and ring it if he wanted to.]

Why you're chained up in here with this thing.

[jerks a thumb up at the bell.]

Beats me. I think this place just has a thing for it.

[chaining people up, that is. gives a shrug, appearing to fiddle with the cuff on one wrist.]

[...reaches up and rings the bell.]

[how many times is he doing that? because the first will get Larx doubling over, frozen in place with his hands curled against his chest.]

[just the once; he wanted to see if it actually did anything, but now he's stepping away from it.]
