[SUDDENLY: in a hallway off the main part of the dressing room, there's the sound of fighting. there's also the sound of water being shot around at high pressure; some people will know what this means! one of the walls suddenly gives way and a Sora gets blasted through with a jet of water, hitting the opposite wall with a painful-sounding thud and sinking to the floor. Sora's quite thoroughly soaked, and looking more than a little beat up. as she - because yes, judging by the lumps on her chest that her sticking clothing show, she is a female - struggles to rise, breathing in heaving, painful gulps of air, the wall suddenly reforms, blocking her opponent off permanently. too tired to care that she's somewhere that doesn't look like Hollow Bastion, she collapses back against the wall, quite ready to just sink into unconsciousness.]

[buh-zuh-what. the spell makes her perk up a little, and the voice much more so as she sits up, staring at Riku in wide-eyed confusion.]

[Ow, don't look at me like that. Riku nods, stepping back now that she's made sure Sora's not going to pass out.]

[what no get back here. she's reaching for Riku in a way that might seem vaguely familiar, if she would care to remember that one meeting in Traverse Town.]

[She's stopped where she is, the beginnings of a frown showing through.]

What were you doing just now?

[flops back, scratching her cheek, which looks like it might start bruising soon.]

Fighting someone from the Organization.

[Slips her hands in her pockets, watching her closely.]

[mostly she's still running on adrenaline, plus Riku's here!]

[gah. Sora, why. She can't help but smile a little.]

I bet. In that case, want an explanation?

[it finally occurs to her that maybe she should be paying attention to the fact that she's not in Hollow Bastion anymore, even if that's hard to do with Riku right there and her head getting kind of fuzzy.]

Alright, look. You're in a place that's... kind of like Traverse Town. Only instead of drawing in people from other worlds, it's dimensions... and timelines.

[She's doing a good job of hiding how secretly happy she is to see a Sora normal to her.]

...huh?

[she understands, sort of, but that's a confusing concept as a whole.]

[It is, but Riku just nods.]

Think of it this way. There are infinite possibilities for choices you could've made, or things that could've happened differently. Each of those is a world. And this place? Sucks in people from their worlds without any warning. It's a crossroads.

[Narrows her eyes a little, reaching to take Sora's hand.]

[takes Riku's hand immediately, gripping tighter than is probably necessary. just in case she disappears again, you know?]

Where are we going?

[Why don't you all just stab her right through the chest? She starts moving, pulling Sora along.]

Sitting you down.

[no no, she only stabs herself in the chest. follows along, though she'll get more wobbly as they go.]

Alright. I don't think I'd mind that...

[Riku's making sure it's somewhere close by. How wobbly are we talking here?]

[well, she might've stumbled a bit there.]

[Oh. Good. If that's all then she won't have to pick her up. But she'll be pushing Sora down into a recliner right about now.]

[oof. this was not the type of chair she was expecting, but she's definitely not going to complain.]

[One good thing about having living rooms all over the place. Riku sits on the edge of a chair beside Sora's, not taking her eyes off of her.]

Do you need a potion?

Maybe...

[she'll never admit that she was definitely losing that fight.]

[There's that hint of a frown again! But she'll just pull one out, holding it out to her expectantly.]
