Being missed by the cuff-spell was probably a good thing in his case, given he's come down off the potion just recently. For the most part he just looks really tired; no toxic looking ooze or apparent disorientation as he wolfs down what looks like breakfast for two or three people.

In the middle of the table he's lined up six metal tubes on-end, all identical and evenly spaced.
