[today started off innocently enough -- Sora's spent most of the day climbing over things and chasing chocobos, and after all that exercise, he needs a chance to cool off! luckily, he's found a nice fan he can sit on the floor in front of in a nearby closet, so he's dragged it out into the open for a cooling breeze.]

[what he doesn't realize when he plugs it in, however, is that the wire near the plug of the fan is frayed. so after a sudden, healthy zap he flops back on the floor, looking dazed.]

[he has a burn on his hand :/ but he seems okay otherwise, though just a little dazed -- he holds his arms up to Ri.]

[he's just mad at the fan, and having a bit of a delayed reaction to the shock, and his hand hurts a little -- he plops his head on Ri's shoulder and bawls.]

*is it time to take care of his boy again? it is, it is. Sora's walking up to you from behind, still a bit slow though, and bends down to look at you closely*

[give him a second, he's still a little dazed -- but soon he's flailing, and trying to scramble into Sora's arms.]

[just sort of whimpers into Sora's shoulder, before he suddenly remembers something, and pulls away to look at up him. he's trying to look stern, but is having a hard time, so his expression is a little wobbly, and his eyes are watery. he grabs Sora's hand (he'll worry about the little burn on his own hand later), and starts trying to drag him somewhere.]

[he just waves his free hand, and wordlessly leads Sora back to their room, and to his little bedroom -- he toddles over to the table, where there's a small stack of papers and little textbooks, and after shuffling through the papers for a minute, he holds up a specific page to Sora, along with a pencil. it's his math homework.]

[he looks serious about this, sorry Sora! it's sort of his way of creating closure for the whole incident, and making his world 100% right again. they're pretty easy math problems though, so don't worry!]

*the threat of math is apparently very real, and he sits down at your little desk and takes the pencil, looking very kicked-puppy. he looks at the sheet of notebook paper, and notices that they're simple arithmetic, and begins working the problems quickly*
