[Marluxia steps out of a portal and into the Dressing Room, his expression settling into a sneer as he pushes back his hood and takes in his surroundings.]

Snake people? That's a new one. Spells and Heartless do not alarm me. As for the crazy, violent people... I'm sure I can handle them, as well.

[smirks]

That's good.

[he sort of figured that out from the portal through which Marluxia entered. it's still nice to warn people.]

And you have a weapon?

[have a giant pink scythe an inch away from your nose]

You mean this?

[fff-]

Yes, that would work.

[pulls his scythe back toward himself and looks at it thoughtfully, running his thumb down the edge carefully]

Do you think it enough? I could always make use of other things.

[did you notice the strangle vine? it's a little slow to grow but it is slowly encircling you from the feet upward]

[why in the worlds has Roxas never learned not to approach and/or speak with Marluxias? one would think that a couple of incidents would be enough to teach him a lesson.]

I would think that's enough... but there is a room filled with weapons if you want something else, too.

[and no, he's quite distracted by keeping a close eye on that scythe, as well as trying to sound as if he's not terrified.]

[well, as you watch him literally split a hair with his scythe's blade, the vine is working its way around higher- and it just locked your arms to your sides as it snaps taut, and is still growing]

Why would I want something else when I have my favorite right here?

[pretends not to notice the predicament you're in]

[okay he's noticing that now. well, fuck.]

H-hey!

[he could just leave you there but well, you have been helpful...]

Oh dear, quite a situation you've gotten yourself into there. Did you know this type of vine grows around a tree, slowly strangling it to death?

[comes over to stroke a hand over the vine lovingly, the tip of the vine stretching toward him as though seeking the sun]

But I'm not a tree!

[tries to squirm free, but that isn't going to help much, is it?]

[not if the vine tightening around you further isn't helping you, no]

Ah, and there lies the problem, for this particular vine seems to be confused! Silly thing, didn't you hear him? He isn't a tree he says!

[waggles his finger at the vine, quite amused]

[he tries to take a deep breath and whimpers when it hurts. a bright shield of light flares up around him at the first sign of pain, trying to pry the vines away. it will exhaust itself fairly quickly if it fails, though.]

[makes a clucking sound and gives the end of the vine a little tweak]

No dear, he isn't food even if he does somewhat resemble a small sun at the moment. Can't you see if you can find something more suitable, hm?

[the vine clings to Roxas a moment longer as though reluctant, but does slowly unwind from him, drawing back into the floor and can be faintly heard moving under there]

[the shield fades. Roxas drops to his knees, gasping for breath and clutching at the necklace. note to self, once again: stay. away. from. Marluxia.]

[bends slightly to rub your back, feigning concern]

Dear me, are you alright?

[no touching! he moves away, eyes narrowing.]

Yes, I'm fine.

Do take care to be more aware of plants, hm? They seem to be more abundant around me, and I cannot always control their actions, you see.

Then don't distract me by shoving sharp, pointy things in my face.

[gets to his feet and takes a few steps back.]

Kitchen is that way, vacant rooms are that way. You can find the rest yourself.

[he could have just left you there, after all.]

[yeah, yeah, he knows. so...]

Oh. And thanks for not killing me. I guess.

[And with that, he's off to explore the rest of this place. Mind the vine under the floor, it still thinks you might be tasty even if you aren't a tree.]

[yay, one more thing to be scared of. floors. wonderful. he'll just... head back to his room and stay there for the rest of the day. just to be safe.]
