[Today there is a ~~red mummy~~man dressed all in red wandering through the halls of the dressing room with a general look of confusion on his face. Must be a newcomer.

That or he's lost his way. But feel free to come and talk to him all the same.]

And where might that have been?

Well...

Gosh, it was a long time ago, but if I didn't know any better I'd say you sound an awful lot like my friend Ansem the Wise.

That world fell to ruin, or so I'd heard.

[Not that he's denying the fact...]

But that doesn't mean it can't get better. Lots of people back there are pitchin' in to make the place as good as it used to be.

[There's a soft smile at that. It's good to know his people are pulling through.]

I don't believe I can return there.

But why not? If it's your home, then there's no way anyone can stop ya.

[That gets a bitter laugh.]

No way? My actions may well have caused its downfall.

Gosh, no! If it's anyone's fault it's Maleficent and the fake Ansem's.

Xehanort's.

[O helo thar, bitterness.]

[nods in understanding]

If people knew the truth, then there'd be nothing to hold against ya!

I should have stopped him sooner.

Gosh, everybody makes mistakes... Sometimes ya gotta look on the positive side and hope for a better tomorrow.

I've done enough in my search for vengeance as it stands.

Well... Ya got a reason to be upset! Sometimes it's real hard not to want revenge.

He took everything from me. My people, my name, and in the end, my world.

[he pauses for a moment, frowning deeply.]

But that's why Sora's gotta beat him! Xehanort's done a lot of bad, I'm sure you're not the only one who wants revenge.

But that doesn't mean ya have to let it get to ya, either. That was a long time ago, and now things are startin' to change for the better.

Even so, there are still remnants of my folly. Nobodies; with no right to exist.

The darkness is somethin' you can't live without, just like you can't live without light. Ya can't have one without the other. The only way to stop heartless and Nobodies for good would be to get rid of darkness forever.

I know. I've always known. And yet those fools live.

... They're just strong, but that doesn't mean they can't be beaten.

[He nods.]

That's why I needed Sora.

Sora's got a strong heart. I'm sure you can trust him!

He's been a great help to me.

Then don't you worry! You may have made some mistakes, but that was a long time ago. With Sora's help everything will be better in no time!

Perhaps so. But will the people be so willing to take me back after all those follies?
