[ If it's not one thing it's another. She can't be alive and well for more than a week before this place throws something else at her. Thing is, Riku's had this one coming for a while.

A portal opens up in the hallway, and Riku steps out without looking around. She stops, staring ahead of her, looking like she's thinking of where to go. For anyone who could sense it, they would notice her lack of Heart. ]

[hey, hey, guess who happens to be in a nearby room? he's just on a couch in there playing guitar, a song that should be familiar to Riku~.]

[Hears that, and it's enough for her to-- consider going that way. Something familiar would be... she doesn't know. Good. After some hesitation, she heads that way, the portal closing behind her.]

[as soon as she's close enough for him to sense he hits a wrong chord, jerking around to stare at the doorway in surprise.]

[Places a hand on the doorway once she reaches it, looking inside at him with... well, nothing. This is probably the least expression he's seen in her face in a long time.]

Riku...?

[sounds a bit horrified, not quite believing what he's feeling- or not feeling- from her.]

[Kind of hesitates, and then nods. If she had any emotion in her she'd feel terrible about having to put him through this, but if she had emotions she wouldn't have to in the first place.]

[immediately abandons the guitar, stumbling over to her.]

What happened? Why are you...

[Quietly reaches into her pocket, pulling out a large blue marble, faintly glowing. She holds her hand palm up for him to see. Now that it's closer and openly visible, and because of who Kai is, he can likely sense her Heart inside.]

[Mm, justice. Blinks. Stares. Well this reverses things.]

[reaches out as if to touch it, pulling his hand away after a moment's hesitation.]

How did it get in there?

[Justice, huh? Stares right back at her, absolutely nothing in her eyes.]

What happened to you?

[When he pulls his hand away she closes hers, holding it up to her chest.]

Someone took it.

Why?

[trying to think of how to get it out of the marble and back into her.]

What does it look like?

[Her voice sounds weird all blank like that.]

[Two can play this game. Blank too.]

I mean how did you get that way.

Because I wouldn't help a Roxas.

[Slips the marble back into her pocket.]

Someone took my heart.

[Not that hard to figure out, Roxas.]

I know, but who?

[she's. actually secretly not finding this as bad as it should. mostly because she thinks you've been a jerk to Nobodies, Riku. :|]

What...?

[he doesn't see the connection.]

Or because I... attacked him. It was some sort of test, I think. There was a Roxas, but... he wasn't a Roxas. She was some kind of sorceress.

[Shakes her head.]

[That's okay, she really does deserve it. Go go karma.]

I don't know. They had your face, first.

[looks, forgive her, slightlyyyyy amused, an eyebrow arching. she has more expressions than Riku now.]

Me at 'first'?

[drags a hand over his face.]

Why did you attack him? Her? Whichever.

[That she does. She'll have time to be mad when this is over, if she remembers that.]

Whoever they were, they pretended to be a Roxas. After they took my heart, they turned into a woman.

[Can't say who - she's never seen them before.]
