[the kitchen is rather busy today. Kai's in there cooking, seeming just as much at home as he normally does in there. why is it busy? well, it probably has something to do with all the woodland animals in there with him. deer, rabbits, birds, mice, squirrels; if it's cute and lives in a forest, there's probably at least one in the kitchen right now.]

...guys, seriously. Someone's going to freak if they see you all in here.

[Walks into the kitchen casually and then just. stops.]

Woah. Who left the door to the petting zoo open?

[sighs, turning away from the stove (a couple mice promptly take up stirring the soup he was working on) to send Roxas a slightly helpless look.]

They followed me from the forest room.

[... Someone remind her why she came to the kitchen, again? Her train of thought has just come to a screeching halt.]

[Snorts and heads towards the cabinet for some crackers.]

Why don't you just tell them to go back, then?

[one of the little bluebirds perched on the back of a chair tweets, and Kai looks over his shoulder, shooting Riku a slightly apologetic smile.]

[sighs again- shoos the mice away from the pot.]

I tried. They don't want to, and I can't exactly herd them all.

[Scratches the back of her head, looking like she wants to ask. Instead, she just carefully tries to make her way to the fridge.]

[some of the animals are watching her curiously. it's like they can sense that Riku and Kai know each other well sighs softly, shaking his head.]

I was in the forest room and they decided to follow me.

[Pulls out some saltines and sniffles before turning back around and looking at all of them.]

Is there a reason they're following you?

[one of the fawns is now looking at you woefully, Roxas. or rather, at your saltines.]

...I sang.

[making sure he's not facing Roxas, because he's kind of blushing in embarrassment.]

[She's not sure if that's annoying or unnerving, but she's looking at those rabbits.]

Any reason?

[ducks his head a bit and turns away, concentrating on the soup he's making, absently plucking the saltshaker from the squirrel that was pushing it over.]

Yeah. I was out there with my guitar and they all started gathering around.

[glances over and sends him an apologetic look.]

Sorry. I've been trying to get them to leave, but they refuse.

[Looks back up at that, a little surprised. But she won't say anything about it. ...Yes she will.]
