[ Thanks to crossing paths with the wrong person, Riku's just had the maiming of her life. Smeared blood drops line down the hall marking her path, and Riku herself couldn't look much worse - pale and splattered with blood, most of her shirt ripped to shreds and an arm having been bitten or ripped off, judging by the mutilated stump of her shoulder.

She's managed to make it half-way to a bathroom; it was the first place that came to mind, where she'd at least find something to stem the bleeding if she couldn't locate potions. (Who knows if potions will even do any good on an injury this bad?) Better yet, the well-used hall was a place where she'd find help along the way, and if she doesn't stop the flow of blood soon, she's going to bleed to death.

Too bad shock's setting in fast. ]

[ooc: ~~Screw timelines.~~ Saïx had some fun with Riku. Behind a cut because I got descriptive with her injuries, heh.]

Riku?

[it's barely a whisper, the box in his hands dropping with a crash and scattering art supplies across the floor as he rushes to her, casting a Cure to at least try and slow the bleeding.]

[The Cure helps, small as it is in comparison, but she hardly notices. Riku's staring wide-eyed at her shoulder, holding tightly to the bleeding hole that was an arm once, too distracted to notice that it's Kai with her.]

[swears colourfully, bringing up as much magic as he can for a more powerful healing spell.]

You with me, Riku?

[The look on her face when she turns to him should answer that, almost blank but too horrified to go that far.]

[gets that next healing spell in, letting some light up to the surface to hopefully help her realize who exactly is there.]

[She's realized by now, letting go of her shoulder and reaching out to grab his arm.]

Kai.

[reaches to steady her carefully, still sending plenty of healing magic at her.]

Hey, Riku. I'm going to pick you up, okay? You shouldn't be walking around like this.

[More than fine with that. She doesn't even care right now, slumping forward to lean against him.]

[and just as carefully picks her up, immediately heading for the bathroom and leaving the art supplies behind. all the while he's keeping a small bit of healing magic flowing to her, though he's quickly running out.]

[It's probably painful how much her fingers are digging into his skin right now, but other than that she's unmoving.]

I don't want to die again.

[presses a kiss to her hair, suppressing his panic.]

I won't let you die, Riku, don't worry.

[he doesn't want to let go of her like this, so he's going to try and see if he can find some potions and an ether without having to.]

[Slightly comforted by him saying so. Enough to be of help, anyway. As she's not in any state to help him look, she's going to close her eyes.]

Don't go to sleep on me just yet, okay?

[murmurs it, propping her carefully on the bathroom counter so he can look for medical supplies properly. he keeps a hand in hers, though.]

[Opens her eyes at that and jerks upright, leaning back to rest her head against the wall as she watches him.]

Don't let me die.

[forces himself to smile reassuringly at that, squeezing her hand.]

I won't, I promise.

[Nods back at him, focusing on breathing and keeping her eyes open.]

[downs an ether and grabs a couple megapotions, turning his attention back to her.]

Think you can swallow a potion?

[Nods again, but doesn't lean forward. Her hand has come up to the base of her neck to feel around.]

He bit my neck.

Maybe we should pour it directly on the wound instead...

[opens one of the potions and frowns.]

Who did?

Saïx. He bit my neck first.

[Stops her hand, pressing it against the wound there.]

[his grip on the potion bottle tightens for a moment.]

You need to move your hand, Riku.

[Transfers her hand to her shoulder immediately, turning her head the other way.]

[slowly covers the wound on her neck in potion, watching to see how much it needs.]

[It doesn't take nearly as much as her arm will - but she seems to be sliding down.]

Riku.

[hurriedly sets the bottle aside to make sure she stays upright.]
