It's just chemistry...

[Xehanort's never cooked before, but he's figured this is as good a time as any to start. So, here's a mini-apprentice in a kitchen, a cookery book open in front of him.
Somewhere.
Under a pile of cookery implements.
No-one ever accused the kid of making things easy for himself.]

Come on... It's just a list of instructions, shouldn't be this hard...

[Something smokes. Ominously.]

Cooking, Xehanort?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, generally there is already prepared food in the refrigerators, though you're absolutely correct; there are no cooks, at least none like those in the castle.

What exactly are you trying to make?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
...I see.

[he takes a moment to look it over before saying anything else.]

You were following the instructions, correct?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you need any assistance? I'm not incredibly skilled by any means, but I do know a little bit, as I often have to prepare my own meals here.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Alright. Is there anything specific that you had in mind?

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm... Well, I'd assume that you'd need the appropriate dish. Where might the instructions be?

[considering the pile of implements it's hard for him to tell]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
[he'll go ahead and pick up the book, then]

Well, a pie tin seems preferable, according to this. Again, I'm no expert, but I'd assume that a 'pie tin' would refer to a dish that is short and round, considering the shape of most pies.

[he nods, looking over the instructions some more]

It appears that we'll be needing flour, oil, milk, and salt. I see that you've already prepared the flour; what else do you have so far?

[ooc: For the record, I'm just googling pie recipes. XD; Hopefully that's alright. -fails- ]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Very good. As for the oil, it seems that vegetable oil is preferable here.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
...Actually, I'm not sure. It seems to appear with no direct source, and items tend to restock themselves.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you need to measure it out as well. Much like any experiment, one must be precise when it comes to measurements.

Therefore, we'll be needing...

[glancing it over]

Two cups of flour, one-half teaspoon of salt, one-third cup of milk, and two-thirds of vegetable oil.

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[meanwhile, Ienzo will dig up some good measuring utensils and such. They may not be like beakers and test tubes, but they're just as necessary.]

[identity profile] radiantprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-03-21 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[he peeks over at the bowl before nodding]

Indeed it does. I suppose I'll prepare the salt in the mean time.

[looking through the utensils, ah, here we go]
