[Glass mazes are a lot harder to navigate than one would think. This kid's stuck inside one. He's visible! He can see the exit and everything. He just can't get there. So he's seated on the floor, leaning against one of the clear walls and playing with his lighter.

[wooow, she's never seen a room like this before. which means she's going to wander inside, of course, and in no time at all she's spotted Axel further away.]

Hi Axel!

[Might as well be ignoring her with the way he's concentrating on the flickering light in his hand.]

[...aww. she knows Axels are grumpy and all, but ignoring isn't nice. she'll just start walking further in.]

[Eventually he looks up and- immediately darts to his feet, looking to be shouting something.]

[well that makes her slow down, head tilted. ohhh, they can't hear each other. well then she just needs to find him, right?]

Hang on!

[He doesn't hear that, obviously, and just keeps making gestures and saying... something.]

[she knows that, but she's trying to find him, now. gestures?]

I can't hear you!

[Facepalms!]

[why is he doing that, she doesn't understand. she's gotten closer, too, but-- oh, this is hard.]

[He sighs and plops back down. No point trying to get her to leave if she can't hear.]

[she's not too far now, but she's still got a ways to go, and it's getting confusing. especially when she walks face first into a wall.]

[Winces a little when she does that, watching her progress from his seat.]

[she's okay! just a little dizzy. it might take her a little longer to get to him now.]

[Great, he gets to wait even longer to tell her it's a lot harder getting out than it is getting in.]

[she won't mind. she just waves when she passes him by from a closer spot. almost!]

[Waves back halfheartedly, already focusing on his lighter again.]

[he won't be able to do that for long, because when she does manage to find him, she runs up with a very big grin on her face.]

I found you!

Good job, now we're both stuck.

[Snaps his lighter shut and shoves it in his pocket grumpily.]

[takes a seat beside him, on her knees.]

Nuh-uh.

Oh yeah? Try 'n get out, then. I've been stuck here for ages.

[More like half an hour, but that certainly feels like ages when you've got nothing to do.]

I will! But you gotta come with me.

[she's not going to leave him if he's stuck.]

How long've you been here?

Well duh, why wouldn't I?

[Scratches his head.]

I dunno, a while.

Maybe you like getting stuck.

[doesn't really think so, but what's she going to say to that?]

Next time you should bring rocks.

[Snorts.]

Where would I keep 'em?
