[if you go near the ocean-room, you might smell smoke. and... see some fire. this Riku's just standing in front of it, silent, not even roasting marshmallows or anything. he's thinking... and it's something that he's been regretting thinking about.]

[he's barely peeking past the doorway, lids half lowered and expression drawn tight with concentration.]

[that fire's probably very familiar to you. it's the same kind of fire conjured to get rid of his girlfriend's goddess-hood. the fire he drenched so they couldn't hurt her.]

Damn it.

[he doesn't make a move even still, he's worried about quite a few things and the fire is barely one of them.]

[tosses a stick in, watching it burn blue before going back to red.]

I can feel you there.

[Sora's ears twitch, walking in to the room slowly. But he did nock so the other knew he was there.]

What's stupid, if I may ask?

[looks over, and quickly stands up.]

Sora! I haven't seen you in--I mean... it's been forever...

[Blinks, throwing a goofy grin on and nods. Looks like someone else knew him, it was a pity. He desperately wanted to remember, he'll try to play along. Maybe the memories will just click in to place one by one.]

Did you miss me?

[Laughs, smiling.]

[[ooc: Ansem(aka one you were just talking to) wiped Sora's memories. It's possible to access them, but he has no memory of who anyone is right now D: ]]

[there's an obvious, relieved smile on his face.]

'course. How're you--not hurt, right?

[ooc; yeah, read and guessed that happened. :<]

[Those odd eyes of his seemed worried from that question, had he been hurt in the past?
But he quickly dismissed the thoughts and shook his head with a small smile.]

Of course not, I'm fine...What were you talking about before I came in?

[He'll be bold and come up next to the other to watch the fire for a while in its blazing glory before turning his head to meet Riku's eyes.]

[[It sucks because as soon as I saw Riku post I facepalmed since I wanted Sora to catch up with Riku D: ]]

[he feels a little weird, but he's guessing it's himself, not Sora--and he goes over to the fire, too. he sticks his hand straight through, closing his eyes. his hand 'burns' blue.]

Kairi. I'll never get out at this rate. Maybe I should give up.

[ooc; yeahh. xD same.]

[He was taking a major leap at guessing.

Ah, the girl you like?

[eisofh--Well that wasn't normal though. Instincts were telling him to pull the crazy boy's hand out of the fire, which he did quickly, inspecting the hand with concerned eyes.]

D-Don't do that!

[[ooc: Psssh, Riku should be able to tap in to his mind and fix everything. Haha xD]]

[siiighs.]

Liked, now, but--

[as soon as Sora grabs his hand, though, he almost yelps in pain. that was light, that was light against him and he jerks away quickly. his fingers are burned into his arm, and he looks at Sora with narrowed eyes.]

... you know not to do that. ... Something's--Sora. Look at me for a minute.

[Sora panicked, freezing and letting his hands drop Riku's arm that jerked from him. He saw the marks, confused at how he could do such a thing and flooded Riku with soft apologies.]

I-I'm sorry, I-I didn't m-mean to.

[He was hesitant for a second, but eventually he gave in and brought his eyes up to meet Riku's.]

...what?

[... and he quickly looks away after a few seconds of held gaze.]

They're hidden. Damn it, just like what they did to--

[breathes in, slowly, closing his eyes. he approaches Sora, a calm aura around him.]

Okay. Do it again--but don't stop looking at my eyes, okay? I'm... going to try and bring your memories back. It'll be difficult, but I think I can do it.

[How could Riku tell just by looking at him?
He was a bit relieved though from not having to play along, fidgeting slightly with a nod. Do what again, look in to those eyes again?
He did. He couldn't help himself either, standing tall and opening his eyes to gaze in to Riku's.
Was it possible to get his memories back? Here's to praying..]

[he hates the pain that comes from touching or getting touched by someone with light--but he knows it's for Sora's best interest. Sora might see flashes of his memory--

being a child, growing up here and then being shoved back into the world of LA, having Ansem take care of him and train his inner darkness. seducing people into an ancient evil, all until he meets with Kairi.

even as they share that bond, he's traveling deep into Sora's mind, pulling back his real memories and bringing them to the front of his mind. when he's done, he's practically blown onto his back from the force.]

[It was all too much to handle at once. He fell to his knees with an exhale of breath, shutting his eyes tightly to take it all in. Now that all of the memories were done flooding his head he could think straight and open his eyes to see Riku on the ground close to him, had he hurt Riku?
He scrambled on his hands and feet to Riku's side, letting his hands hover while his worried orbs searched Riku's face.]

Riku, Riku!

[Sora wasn't sure how badly Riku was hurt from retrieving his memories. But the new one was practically engraved in to his brain from the transfer.]

...Riku, are you alright?

[he's clutching his head with both hands, face scrunched up in pain before he relaxes. his eyes are a little out of focus, and he's definately tired out by the way he sort of... melts against the sand. his voice has a tired lilt.]

M'fine... I'll be fine. Just.. need to rest...

*look who's doing some semi-parental duties now that he's better*

Riku?

I know.

[takes one step in, and then another, but stands in place after that.]

I wasn't sure if you wanted me here.

[Sora knew he wasn't allowed to touch, so the next best thing was for Riku to hold on to him. He knelt down, giving Riku a once over before speaking again.]

Do you think you could wrap your arms around my neck?
I might be able to carry you, I don't want you sleeping here on the floor.

[He'd much rather carry Riku to a bedroom or something, sleeping on the sandy floor hardly seems comfortable.]

... it's not my room.

[he mumbles, before slowly pushing his hand into the flames. previous burns from people who hold light start to melt away, back into cream-colored, untouched skin.]

[he looks up, seeming worse for wear. he's tired--conjuring a cold fire is a lot more trouble than it's worth. Ri might be able to feel the coldness of the flames, because of his darkness.]

Hey.

[he slowly shakes his head, pushing himself up with strength that really isn't there.]

Get me to the fire. I'll... be fine.

[that kind of hurts. he makes no move.]
