[anyone that's interested in reading about psychology in the library, and subsequently climbs up the ladder some 20 feet to reach the section might find a whimpering six year old wedged in the bookcase, right between articles on The Bystander Effect and articles on Freud.]

[climbing up and getting a great view of the library was all sorts of fun, but climbing back down definitely leaves something to be desired.]

[while he may not be looking for psychology stuff, he is in the library, practicing with the new ability he's slowly developing. as it is, he can sense a few hearts around, but one seems a little oddly positioned, so he's off to check out why. looking uuuuuup once he reaches the area, he raises an eyebrow.]

[starts up the ladder, not even pausing until he's reached Sora.]

[lets go of the ladder with one arm, holding it open for Sora to attach himself.]

[starts to scoot closer, but chickens out once his feet reach the edge of the shelf.]

[steps a little higher, reaching forward and wrapping his arm around Sora.]

Just hold onto me, you'll be down in no time.

[hangs on so tight it's a wonder he's not cutting off Kai's circulation, or his airway. he's about ready to start sobbing, now.]

It's okay, Sora.

[makes sure he's got a good hold, climbing down a little awkwardly. but they reach the floor in no time, and he steps off the ladder, turning the hold into a hug.]

See? We're down.

[he's safe to turn on the waterworks now, sobbing into Kai's shoulder and positively shaking. at least he's learned his lesson?]

[carries him to a chair and settles down into it, rubbing his back gently. it's definitely been a while since he's had a kid crying on him like this.]

[he'll stop crying one of these days, but even when he does he'll still be shaking. that might have been a little bit too intense for Sora.]
