[now that Riku's found an outfit that's worth wearing (and staying on his body), he's oblivious to everyone else's daily problems, just hanging around.]

[there's a guitar in his hands, and although he can pick a melody or two with his fingers, he's clearly an amateur.]

[pulled in by the sounds of guitar, he's just going to lean against a nearby wall and listen quietly.]

[pads a bit closer and sits, simply listening to the music.]

[wasn't really expecting an audience, but it's not stopping him one way or the other when he isn't all that concerned.]

[well, that's no animal he's ever seen before, taking a pause to just strum out a rhythm and wonder.]

...how long've you been playing?

[tilts his head.]

[oops, over there-- and he can't help but feel like he should be able to recognize the face. weird.]

Couple years. It's not my biggest hobby.

[Riku can admit that.]

Oh yeah? What is?

[doesn't move from the wall, absently rubbing at the exposed bandage on his arm.]

[it's only going to get stranger from here. He tilts his head slightly at the change from melody to rhythm, but says nothing.]

Couldn't say, since I was so busy packing before-

[well, the obvious. looks like someone doesn't have to worry about university anymore.]

[blinks, a little confused.]

You know, ending up here. Whatever it is.

[looks like it's intelligent, or at least pretending to be. that's really something.]

[apparently needs more sleep than a couple hours in just as many days.]

What were you packing for?

[quiets down, watching him play.]

[fumbles on a chord, swearing under his breath.]

Oh. I just didn't want to get too close in case it was distracting or something. I can actually go if you want.

[straightens.]

Seems like I'm always scaring everyone off, aren't I?

[he's just joking, playing a quick scale.]

[it's always the same, him just hanging around with nothing to say and a box of juice.]

[and it speaks. Riku's making a nice recovery, though.]

[grins a bit.]

Well you are kind of scary.

[only not. at all.]

[why is that not surprising? regardless, he's still picking on the strings.]

Boo, blahhh.

[kind of. raises his arms, and no, there's not much about Riku and his beach bum clothes that're all that threatening.]

I fear for my life.

[straightfaced, moving closer.]
