[and here's a Kairi. except... she's kind of of passed out right now. and in a hospital gown. and unfortunately ended up on the floor of all places. giving birth happens to be a strenuous activity, so she's pretty tired out right now. if anyone helps her and sticks around to wait for her to wake up, you'd better be ready for her to flip out a little.]

[like the nice boy he is, he's getting down to her level, holding her hand.]

[well that's not exactly a comforting sight, so he hurries over, getting down onto one knee at her side and reaching to smooth her hair out of her face.]

[she can feel that, oh yes, and her eyes slowly flutter open, turning her head enough to see who's holding her hand. she smiles and speaks with a soft voice.]

Hey there, Sora.

[oh look, she just woke up, but she's giving a little smile.]

Hi, Riku. I didn't expect to see you here.

[he smiles faintly, shifting his weight back against his heel.]

Hey..

[he's not entirely sure if this is the Kairi he knows - what are the odds? - but he's got an inkling.]

[rubs his thumb against her hand and smiles, albeit nervously.]

H-hey...

[she then realizes that she's sort of... laying flat on her back (and why is it so hard, anyway?) when she's pretty sure she isn't supposed to, so she sits up and that's when it hits her.]

.... Sora? Wh-where am I?

[bites his lip.]

U-um! Remember that place I told you guys about with the doubles and stuff...?

[she still doesn't know exactly what's going on, but shh, that might be for the best right now.]

So, how have you been?

[ignoring her own well-being? of course.]

[turns her head away from looking around her, and looks at him instead.]

I thought that place wasn't real, though. But... if I'm here, then where's... Where's Luca?

I-I...

[bites his lip, shutting his eyes.]

I dunno...

[it has to be her. but if it is, then..]

I've been fine. ..What about you? You look like you've seen better days.

[he smiles just a little and gives the sleeve of her hospital gown a light tug. for now, he'll just let her think that everything's alright, let her notice the change on her own before he tries to explain.]

[she's about to freak out, but she instead takes a few deep breaths, just like she knows she should, and thinks it out.]

Okay, well... He should still be at the hospital, right? I mean, it's the only logical explanation, since he's obviously not here with me.

Yeah! And Axel's not here, so... maybe he's with him.

[she giggles and shakes her head.]

On the contrary, it's the best day ever.

[looks surprised for a second.]

Oh, he isn't? [smiles a little.] Well, I know Axel will take good care of him.

Yeah...

[smiles, nods.]

Besides, we're all safe.

[and insert a nervous-sounding laugh here.]

You're telling me. ... So this isn't the hospital, then.

[nods.]

You're right. What about Roxas and Namine, though?

[just shakes his head.]

Well, I think Roxas is back at college, and Nami's with her foster parents, right?

A-and the baby...

Right. I was just making sure they didn't somehow end up here without me noticing~

[bites his lip a little.]

I kinda hope they don't...
